Heartland Harmony Welcomes New Member
SUMMERSVILLE, W. Va. - West Virginia's Heartland Harmony is proud to announce the addition of Garth Holcolm to the group. Garth joins the group as the new bass singer.
Holcolm hails from Summersville, West Virginia and is an active member of his home church - Mountain State Baptist Church. Heartland Harmony is the first group that Holcolm has been a part of. He has a fond appreciation for all forms of music but was influenced mostly by Southern Gospel and bluegrass Gospel music since he was a child.
Garth said, "I have been praying for years about finding a committed group to sing with. It was as if God just threw these guys in my tracks!"
Jeff Board of Heartland Harmony said, "I have known Garth for almost a year now, but until we had to find a replacement singer, I didn't have the slightest clue he could sing - much less sing a bass part for a Gospel quartet."
Holcolm is currently adding his vocals to the group’s new recording - due out next year.
"Garth has done such a great job on this new recording even though this was his first time in the studio," mentioned Board. "He sounds like he has been recording for years."
Board continued, "We feel that God has led Garth to us. He has been such a great addition to this group. We truly are glad and excited to have him."
Heartland Harmony's currently untitled new project is being produced by John Darin Rowsey. The album will feature new songs from Rowsey as well as some new recordings that various group members have had their hand in writing.
The group's debut single from the album, "Feel Its Real", was recently shipped to Southern Gospel radio. The song was penned by group member Ben Simpkin.
