Viroqua's Morning Glory Choir Presents:

A Mother's Day Celebration!

Sunday, May 13  2:00 PM

Driftless Books and Music

You're invited to join the Morning Glory Women's Choir for an afternoon of celebrating the women and mothers in our lives through song! The afternoon includes a community concert and Big Sing with songs performed by Morning Glory singers as well as easy to learn rousing tunes for all to sing together in magical instant-harmony. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Minnesota Prison Doulas Project, an amazing locally-run organization that offers quality birth care and parenting education to incarcerated mothers.

If you're looking for something fun and wholesome to do with Mom this year or if you simply long to sing in glorious harmony with others, come to Driftless Books Sunday afternoon, May 13th at 2 PM to meet all your celebratory singing needs. Come to sing your heart out, listen to some beautiful performances, and use your voice to support incarcerated women and mothers in having access to nourishing birth care and family education!

Morning Glory Choir is an all-inclusive, oral tradition singing community for women and mothers that gathers weekly to share in the joy of singing. No prior experience is necessary, and no auditions are required to join. We sing not to attain perfection in notes and rhythms, but to craft an experience that is enlivening and connective for all. Our members are aged 3 to 72. Learn more about our Choir Here.

The singing will begin at 2:00, and will be followed by a homemade treat sale. Both listening and participation are invited at this event, and you're welcome to choose either at any given time. Big Sings offer a special opportunity to gather friends, family, and neighbors for an extra special gargantuan singing experience in community. The more the merrier! Suggested donations at the door and concessions collected from post-singing treats will be directly donated to the Minnesota Prison Doulas.
